He is an inside disciple of Master Samuel Kwok who is internationally known for teaching authentic and traditional Wing Chun and certified by him as a qualified Instructor.

He also learned from Grandmasters Ip Chun and Ip Ching, the two sons of the late Ip Man and Wing Chun teacher of Bruce Lee.

He is a member of the - Hong Kong Ving Tsun Athletic Association; - Ip Man Martial Arts Athletic Association Ltd; - British Council for Chinese Martial Arts

He is a Fellow of the Society for Martial Arts (Salford)

He has been a regular contributing writer in the Martial Arts Illustrated magazine in England.

He believes in the preservation of authentic and traditional Wing Chun for the benefit of future generation

He believes that martial arts comprise of the two essential goals of learning – one being ‘martial’ meaning to fight and the other is ‘arts’ which means there is skill required and must be nurtured with time and patience.
